Weekend science, religion, and etc. reading list

I promise to start real posts again soon. I just got a new job, and so I’ve been swamped the past few months with the search, transitioning, more travel, etc. Until we return to our regularly scheduled programming, here’s the weekly reading list:

  1. Slate’s Phil Plait on Ben Carson’s ‘anti-science’ attitudes. You can probably guess my response: who cares? The man performed 400+ operations a year during his career. Ability to do that matters way more than being pro-science.
  2. Later today I will be reading Freddie DeBoer on irresponsible tech journalism. You should shell out the $5 and do the same.
  3. BioLogos on equipping educators.
  4. Heterodox Academy on why kids are less tolerant than their parents.

And there you have it!

  1. Loved the Heterodox Academy article. Have to give props to the Pres. too, for his comments in the linked article (see ‘President Obama made forcefully’).
